Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce

The ghost pepper, also known as bhut jolokia, comes from northeast India, and in 2007 it was the first pepper measured past one million Scoville units. It tastes fruity and a little smoky, and the heat creeps up on you. We carry over 100 ghost pepper sauces.

How hot is it?

Most of these come in at Hot or Extra Hot on our five-step heat scale. Just because a sauce has ghost peppers doesn't mean it'll necessarily be crazy hot, how much the saucemaker uses matters just as much.

Good places to start

Roasted Ghost Habanero & Garlic, our own: charred ghost and red habanero peppers with roasted garlic. Extra Hot, but balanced.
Karma Sauce Ghost Island: ghost, habanero, scorpion and fatalii with mango and pineapple. Great on eggs and wings.
Palo Alto Firefighters Ghost Pepper: a cumin-heavy taco sauce with ghost, jalapeño and serrano.
Butterfly Bakery Taco Vibes Only: ghost and reaper, built for tacos. On Hot Ones season 20.
