Extreme Hot Sauce

Extreme is the high end of our heat scale. These are superhot sauces made with a high percentage of Carolina Reaper, 7-Pot Primo, scorpion and ghost peppers. A few of these sauces use pepper extract to bring it to another level.

Pepper heat or extract?

Most sauces here get their heat from peppers alone, which is preferable in terms of flavor. A few add pepper extract, which is concentrated capsaicin, and the Extract filter sorts one from the other. The hottest thing in the shop is Pure Evil 13 Million SHU, a flavorless extract used by the drop.

Good places to start

Volcanic Peppers Thor's Hammer: reaper, ghost, 7-Pot Douglah and scorpion. Really tasty for an extreme sauce.
Burns & McCoy Exhorresco: 7-Pot Primo with black garlic and yuzu. Notorious in chilehead forums.
Torchbearer Garlic Reaper: creamy reaper and garlic.
Da' Bomb Beyond Insanity: the sauce everyone loves to hate.
